Abstract
The Oxford Archaeological Unit carried out an archaeological evaluation at Duffield House, Duffield Road, Woodley on behalf of C A Lennon Associates in advance of an planning application for housing. Six trenches were dug, five of
which produced early prehistoric features. The prehistoric features probably represent settlement activity, with three postholes and a dump of domestic debris (burnt flint) surrounded by possibly two phases of enclosures/paddocks.
