Abstract

OA North was commissinoed by The Environment Agency to undertake a watching brief during groundworks for a canoe access on the south bank of the River Eden. The location of the canoe access is in an area of high archaeological potential, the sire of the former Roman fort of Stanwix lies directly across the River Eden.
