Abstract
AS part of the 'Building Schools for the Future' (BSF) projects, proposals are to be submitted to redevelop Siddal Moor Sports College.
The DBA assessment, which was carried out in April/May 2009, comprised a search for both published and unpublished records.
The study area lies, at least partially, within an area know as Siddal Moor, which was used for peat cutting and coal mining from at the the early post-medieval period. Fourteen sites of archaeological interest were identified within the study area.
