Abstract
UU proposed the diversion of water pipes in advance of the construction of the Manchester Metrolink Airport Line. The entire route of the Airport Line, from Chorlton-Cum-Hardy to Manchester Airport, was the subject of an archaeological asessment carried out by MPT in 2011. The assessment identified the Shadowmoss road area, as having the potential for archaeological remains.
The rapid research has shown that there is come potential for prehistoric archaeology within the proposed development area.
