Abstract
In August 2008, Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out an archaeological
field evaluation on land under the ownership of the Brayfield Estate, Cold
Brayfield, Buckinghamshire (NGR SP 93369 52140) on behalf of Natural
England. The evaluation revealed evidence of Roman activity including
Roman boundary ditches seen on aerial photographs of the area and
evidence of kilns operating in the vicinity. The evaluation also established
possible evidence of localised post-medieval quarrying activity.
