Abstract
WYG Environment Planning Transport Ltd, on behalf of the Environment Agency, requested that OA North provide an archaeological watching brief during geotechnical investigations conducted in Egremont, Cumbria.
The geotechnical works entailed the excavation of 11 trial pits. The groundworks necessitated permanent archaeological monitoring during the excavation of the test pits in order to determine the presence of absence of the below-ground remains.
