Abstract
The desk-based assessement was carried ot in May/June 2010 and comprised a search of both published and unpublished records held by the Lancashire County Historic Environment Record. Preston. the Lancashire Record Office, Preston, the community History Library in Accrington, and athe archives and library heald at OA North. In additioo to this, the site was visited in order torpovide a more thorough understanding of the study area and assess the significance of the built heritage.
