Abstract
Between the 24th and 25th of June 2004 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out a field evaluation at the site of the former Fox Inn, Barton, Oxford (NGR SP 555 076) on behalf of Barrett Maidenhead. The evaluation revealed that the site had been heavily disturbed by earlier construction on the site. Only the north and west fringes of the site contained evidence of recent garden soils.
