Abstract
In April 2013, Oxford Archaeology carried out an evaluation at the West Quadrangle of St Cross College prior to a proposed expansion of the campus site. A post-glacial subsoil held the earliest pottery finds from the site (12th-14th century) and a series of inter-cutting ditches had fills that ranged from the medieval to early 17th century. There were also a number of rubbish pits from the mid 18th and early 19th centuries.
