Abstract

A two stage archaeological evaluation by the OAU on behalf of Blue Circle Industries PLC on the Sports Ground at Ebbsfleet, Kent. Eleven boreholes were drilled and three test pits excavated to determine sub-surface stratigraphy and the location of archaeologically sensitive deposits. Archaeological material was recovered from one of the test pits and in two of the boreholes, indicating that the organic sediments known to contain archaeology are the the south of the study area and continue northwards across the study area.
