Abstract
In August 2002 OA carried out a field evaluation at the site of the White Hart Public House, Old Marston, Oxford. The evaluation revealed part of a stone building of probable post-medieval date and an associated stone surface. The structures may represent an outbuilding associated with the White Hart building. Also revealed were ditches and potential post-hole alignments delineating boundaries of former properties on the site. The arrangement appears to date to the 19th century on the basis of the finds evidence. Residual sherds of medieval pottery from a 19th century feature could suggest that medieval remains exist nearby.
