Abstract
OA undertook an excavation and watching brief at St John's College, Oxford prior to the construction of a new Senior Common Room extension. The excavation identified a late medieval soil horizon and pits, post-medieval quarrying predating the Baylie Chapel and the foundations of the free-standing kitchen block built in 1643. Structured elements and internal features of the 19th-century replacement kitchen were also recorded.
