Abstract
The OAU were asked by WS Atkins Consultants Ltd on behalf of Berkeley Homes to carry out an archaeological evaluation at New End Hospital, Hampstead, in the London Borough of Camden in advance of demolition work, prior to redevelopment. No archaeological horizons pre-dating the late 17th-century were identified in any of the trenches, although a single 16th-century sherd was recovered from a fill deposit (218) in trench 2; this was thought to be residual.
