Abstract
This desk-top study was produced in order to define the known archaeological remains likely to be affected by the construction of the Cambridge Southern Relief Road, with many archaeological sites being affected by relief roads. The topography and geology were both analysed alongside aerial photograph.
Further archaeological work should be carried out in advance of construction work and some sites require further investigation by sample excavation so the purpose will be the preservation and/or evaluating sites with historical and archaeological value.
