Abstract
Between the 29th of September and the 3rd of October 2008 Oxford Archaeology carried out a field evaluation at Woodholm and Welham Farms, Hailsham, East Sussex (NGR TQ 577 107) for CgMs on behalf of Taylor Wimpy PLC. The evaluation revealed a ditch, which was shown to be of a recent date, and a small pit containing burnt material of uncertain date. No other archaeological features were revealed in the trenches:
natural gravel was overlain in places by an undated ploughsoil.
