Abstract
Between the 9th and 10th of March 2017 Oxford Archaeology East carried out an archaeological evaluation in the grounds of the Sycamores, Hayling Walk, Little Paxton, Cambridgeshire.
Two 14m long trenches were excavated and revealed an extensive area of intercutting gravel extraction pits that covered the entire site down to a depth of up to a metre below ground level. No natural deposits were found except at the bottom of excavated features.
A small quantity of post-medieval pottery and brick was recovered from several of the extraction pits.
