Abstract
In February 2013 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out a field evaluation on land at
Yarnton Nurseries, Yarnton, Oxfordshire on behalf of Yarnton Nurseries Garden
Centre. The evaluation comprised the machine excavation of eight trenches.
Occasional archaeological features, including ditches and a single posthole, were
encountered in four trenches but, with the exception of a single pit of modern date,
no artefacts were recovered. The features are likely to be of agricultural origin
although some, at least, may be associated with the recent use of the site as a
garden centre.
