Abstract
The Oxford Archaeological Unit carried out a field evaluation in January l998 at Spencer's Farm North Maidenhead Cricket Club on behalf of Summerleaze Ltd in advance of a proposed
new access road and machine store. The evaluation revealed evidence of a double moat and possible bank thought to belong to the Norman Manor house of Elintone.
