Abstract
The Characterisation of Ely Ware and a study of its Distribution - Project Design. Cambridgeshire County Council Archaeological Field Unit January 2000
It is suggested that Ely ware be examined from excavated collections and museum facilities relating to Cambridgeshire and the key international ports of the Fenland system (Kings Lynn and Boston). In addition to acroscopic recognition and record, samples from the major collections, plus samples from apparently similar fabric types, will be subjected to thin section analysis to determine whether linkage can be confirmed.
