Abstract
On the 14th and 15th September 2005 the Archaeological Field Unit of Cambridgeshire County Council carried out a trench evaluation on land at the Ely City Golf Course, Ely, Cambridgeshire. The work was carried out in advance of he construction of a storage reservoir.
Three trenches were excavated. There were no sub-surface archaeological features within the trenches, however, a scatter of Neolithic surface flint and parts of a medieval Ely ware vessel were recovered.
