Abstract
Possible human remains were reported to the coroners office at Abingdon. The OAU was
asked to investigate. Bones were observed protruding from a drainage ditch section which
was roughly orientated east/west within the Willow Farm property. Willow Farm is situated
to the south-east of Marcham.
The bones were exposed due to the process of water and duck erosion to the bank of modern
ground level. The bones were identified by a specialist as leg bones from a cow :- a distal
tibia, an astragalus and a calcaneum.
