Abstract
Between the 30th of August and the 6th of September 2007, Oxford
Archaeology (OA) carried out an archaeological watching brief at 44
Salisbury Street, Amesbury, Wiltshire (NGR: SU 154 414). The work was
commissioned by Reef Estates in advance of alterations and construction
of an extension, to an existing building. The watching brief revealed postmedieval
pits and evidence of possible post-medieval terracing of the site.
No significant archaeology was observed.
