Abstract
Between March and September 2005 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out an archaeological watching brief at 30 Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, Essex (NGR TL 3825 0050). The work was commissioned by Kensington Properties (South Woodford) Ltd., in advance of construction of side extensions and erection of a detached building to the rear. The watching brief revealed a sequence of alluvial deposition overlaid by evidence of
medieval activity including a cess pit.
