Abstract
Between the 2lst and 22nd of April 2005 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out a field evaluation on land to the rear of No. 24 High Street, Highworth, Wiltshire (NGR. SU 201 922) on behalf of Gregory Gray Associates. The evaluation revealed l8th, 19th and 21th century worked soils overlying cornbrash. An l8th century cobbled path associated with
the standing dwellings was also observed. No deposits, features or artefacts earlier than these dates were encountered
