Abstract
Oxford Archaeology (OA) North were commissioned by Miss Caroline Parkinson to undertake an archaeological watching brief during ground works associated with the creation of a private parking space at Ivy Lodge, Lowgill, Lancashire. This was required by conditions of planning consent, due to the postulated line of a former Roman Road, extending between Ribchester and Low Borrowbridge, believed to be preserved by the modern line of Lowgill Lane to the west of the site. The watching brief was carried out on the 18th of November and identified no archaeological remains or deposits of any kind.
