Abstract
Oxford Archaeology was commissioned by The CDS Group to carry out a trial
trench evaluation on the site of a proposed development to the south of
Tingewick Road, Buckingham (NGR SP 680 333). The work comprised the
excavation of nine trenches that were located to test the results of a
geophysical survey. The fieldwork was carried out between 28th February and
2nd March 2022.
The evaluation revealed a single post-medieval field boundary in the east of
the site and the remains of ridge and furrow cultivation activity across the
evaluated area. No further archaeological remains were revealed, and no
artefacts were identified during the investigation.
