Abstract
The present report brings together results from evaluation and excavation at Hinxton Road, Duxford, undertaken by the Archaeological Field Unit, Cambridgeshire County Council (CCCAFU), funded by English Heritage (EH) and Berkeley Homes (Eastern) Ltd. This document is presented in order to assess the potential for analysis and publication of the results of this work.
Archaeological remains have been found during various investigations in the parish, including several from the vicinity of the development site. It became apparent, during excavation, that the site was of major significance and that the funding agreed with Berkeley Homes (Eastern) Ltd would be insufficient to allow further analysis and appropriate publication.
