Abstract
Lancaster University Archaeological Unit (LUAU) is presently undertaking a third
phase of archaeological recording at Carlton Bank alum works (NZ 520 027), Carlton,
North Yorkshire. An archaeological survey followed by mitigation excavation have
been undertaken on behalf of the North York Moors National Park, in advance of a
proposed reclamation scheme. The results of the survey only are presented within this
interim report.
