Abstract
Between 8th December and 11th December 2020 Oxford Archaeology carried
out a trial trench evaluation ahead of the construction of a proposed new
supermarket and associated car park.
A single ditch was identified within the trenches. No artefactual evidence was
recovered from the feature but it is believed to be one of a series of drainage
ditches associated with a post-medieval water meadow present on an aerial
photograph from the 1980s.
