Abstract
An archaeological assessment was undertaken in July 1989 by OAU on behalf of ARC in advance of a proposed planning application for an extention to the gravel pit at Ditchfordd. The area is part of the valley bottom of the River Nene. An earthwork, proven to be the causeway, was found and although undated is thought to be of Roma origin.
