Abstract
The Oxford Archaeological Unit carried out a watching brief on topsoil stripping for the Bughfield Station Gas Pipeline, on behalf of Transco. The only archaeological remains encountered were a group of medieval features located to the south of Hartley Court Farm, Shinfield. The medieval features included a boundary ditch, a pit and a well, which were dated by associated pottery to the 11th to 12th centuries.
