Abstract
A wtaching brief maintained during construction work within the area of the former 13th century hall at Stonor Park, Oxfordshire revealed a substantial timber ceiling of mid to late 13th century date with an unusual contemporary roof structure. Interventions in the north aisle wall revealed a former window opening and details of the construction of the original medieval wall. A nort-south oriented wall of no great age adjoining the north wall of the aisle was partially exposed during external ground level reduction.
