Abstract
A field evaluation was carried our by the Oxford archaeological Unit (OAU) at Jowett Walk, Oxford on behalf of Merton college. There were four elements to the archaeologìcal
deposits: an area of late 11th to eariy i3th century buildings and l4th century, pits, medieval
ploughsoils; post-medieval pits and garden walls.
