Abstract

Oxford Archaeological unit undertook an archaeological evaluation at Kingstone Bagpuize with Southmoor Bypass in January and February 1992. Wortk was funded by English Heritage. 99% of the route was examined throuigh a combination of fielwalking and trial trenching. Neolithic flint debris and Romano-British pottery concentrations suggest that the site lay at the edge of a main settlement.
