Following a geophysical survey nineteen trenches were dug along the proposed line of the peripheral road and housing area C2. An area of middle Iron Age settlement was found in the area ofthe peripheral road and housing C2 at the east ofthe road line. Roman activity was located towards the N of C2 and a stone surfaced trackway of uncertain date was found adjacent to Minchery Farm.
