Abstract
On the 27th of November 2008 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out a
field evaluation at Ovey’s Farm, The High Street, Cookham, Berkshire
(NGR: SU 896 853) on behalf of GMTW Architects. The evaluation
revealed extensive deposits of garden soils sealing layers of alluvium. In
the southern test pits a possible beam slot on the same alignment as the
front of the farm house was observed, while another produced evidence of
tree throw holes.
