Abstract

Between 18th June and 24th July 2006 OA carried out an archaeological watching brief at Tamowrth, Staffordshire, adjacent to the TA centre and alongside the existing rail track (SK 202 046). The work was commissioned by Network Rail for the observation of geo-technical test pits in advance of the upgrading of the railtrack. No archaeological features or depoits were observed. Natural was overlain by soils of alluvial origin.
