Abstract
Following a proposal for the extension of an existing Wastewater Treatment Works at Walton-le-Dale, LCAS requested that a rapid desk-based research of the area be compiled, which OANorth completed in December 2009. Subsequently, the Planning Archaeologist specified that a strip and record investigation take place on the land prior to development. This work was completed in January and February 2012.
