Abstract

Oxford Archaeology North would like to thank Jamie Lund of the National Trust for commissioning the project, and extend their thanks to other National Trust staff including Gareth Thomas (Community and Learning Officer), Tim Ashberry
(Property Manager) and John Pring (Forester Warden). Thanks are also due to staff at the Cumbria Record Offices in Kendal and Carlisle, the Shropshire Record Office in
