Abstract
In June 2004 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out an archaeological watching brief at The Corner Garage, Ardley, Oxfordshire (NGR SP 5427 2751). The work was commissioned by Thomas & Co. in advance of the construction of thirteen new dwellings. The watching brief revealed a possible sunken roadway and two boundary ditches relating to the medieval shrunken village west of the development.
