Abstract

Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out a field evaluation at the site of the
former Albion Mill, Mill Street, Worcester on behalf of Chase Homes.
The evaluation revealed ditches and pits dated to the early medieval
period. The remains of buildings associated with the mill were uncovered,
as well as evidence of the deliberate dumping of building debris. A rapid
assessment of the Albion Mill buildings was also carried out, which
revealed a number of phases of development of the mill
