Abstract
Guiniess Northern Counties has obtained full planning permission and Conservation Area Consent for the redevelopment of a site on the eastern side of Lower Hillgate in Stockport. Development proposals allow for the demolition of an existing property and construction of 13 new flats with a roof terrace and office accommodation at ground and basement levels. The site lies on the south-estern fringe of the medieval core of Stockport, a short distance to the south-west of St Mary's Church and, until the early nineteenth century, on the principal route into Stockport from the south.
