Abstract
In August 2021, Oxford Archaeology undertook a watching brief on remodeling works
in the Basement of Linton House, St Peters College, New Inn Hall Street, Oxford in
respect of planning reference 20/03022/LBC. The watching brief revealed a series of
probable pits dating from between 11th and 14th centuries. The pits are likely to have
been located in the rear plots of tenements fronting onto New Inn Hall Street (formerly
Little Bailey).
