Abstract

Oxford Archaeology (OA) North was commissioned by Craven District Council to undertake archaeological building recording, evaluation and watching brief on the site of a proposed industrial development at Langcliffe Quarry Sidings,
near Settle in the Yorkshire Dales National Park (centred on NGR SD 82373 66217). The site is dominated by a Hoffmann lime-burning kiln and is part of a Scheduled Monument Craven and Murgatroyd Lime Works 400m North East of Langcliffe Mill (Scheduled monument no. 1020888).
