Abstract
In 1994 the Oxford Archaeological Unit (OAU) undertook an excavation on the site of the
proposed new estate office in the grounds of Glympton Park, near Woodstock, Oxfordshire.
Evidence of lron Age activity suggestive of a nearby settlement was recovered. Plot boundary
walls relating to the cleared )medieval village were revealed, as were the footings of post-medieval
estate buildings and a recently demolished l9th-centuly bungalow.
