Abstract
Following proposals by UU for the extension of a wastewater treatment works in Shap, the CCC Historic Environment Officer recommened that rapid desk-based research and walkover survey be undertaken. OA North was commissioned to undertake this work.
In total, 6 sites of interest were identified within the study area, five had previously been recorded in the Cumbria HER. Site 6 was identified by inspection of historic maps.
