Abstract
In September 2009 Oxford Archaeology (OA) carried out an
archaeological watching brief at South Farm, Shifford, Oxfordshire (NGR SP 3742 0290). This work was commissioned by PCA Architects in advance of the demolition of existing outbuildings and barns, and the construction of three new barns. The watching brief revealed an earlier
layer of ploughsoil overlying natural gravel deposits. No significant archaeology was encountered
