Abstract

Between the 2nd and the 4th of June 2015, Oxford Archaeology East conducted an archaeological evaluation at Land South of Westry Hall, 351 Wisbech Road, March. The evaluation revealed a single undated linear ditch and a cluster of potholes suggestive of a structure. The excavated area around the postholes was subsequently extended to reveal a sub-circular post built roundhouse comprising eleven surviving postholes. Pottery from the postholes dates the building to the Early Iron Age.
