Abstract
Between 1994 and 1997 the Oxford Archaeological Unit (OAU) undertook a watching brief at Corney Land, Stanwick Pit, Northamptonshire(NGR SP 957 707). One palaeochannel and several irregular features filled with a dark brown peaty material were observed. This material was sampled and is thought to be of earlier Pleistocene date (c. 20-40000 BC). Otherwise, no significant archaeological deposits were noted.
