Abstract
In February 2001 the OAU undertook a watching brief at Maidstone River Park, which lies within the boundary of a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Scheduled Monument Consent has been granted by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, but due to the potential disturbance of below ground archaeological deposits a condition for an archaeological watching brief was attached to the consent. No archaeological features were observed during the watching brief.
